THE HOT ROOM
Our state of the art studios were purposely built with your comfort and yoga practice in mind. We have two studios conveniently located just north of the Fashion Mall off Interstate 465 and Keystone and in the heart of Downtown Indy. Our amenities include a state of the art heating system, locker rooms with showers, the best retail boutique, and a kids room (Uptown studio only) We offer over 30 Bikram-inspired hot yoga classes every week in addition to Hot Power Vinyasa and Hot Pilates classes. Our schedule includes 60 and 90 minute classes to meet the needs of our students and their busy schedules. Our teachers teach with compassion and will motivate and challenge you so that you can receive maximum benefits each time you come in.
THIS YOGA IS FOR EVERYONE
We teach the original hot yoga designed for beginners. It is an intelligently designed sequence of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises taught in 105 degree heat with 40% humidity. The heated room helps to warm up your muscles, prevent injury, allows for a deeper workout and cleanses the body of toxins.
This series of postures moves fresh, oxygenated blood to 100% of your body. The postures work together to restore natural range of motion to the body, heal old injuries and illnesses, promote weight loss, relieve stress, and much more. In 90 minutes, you will have worked every muscle, joint, organ and tendon of the body. In addition, the focus & intensity of the class will help to build mental clarity & determination.
This class is designed for beginners – even if you’ve never taken a yoga class. Anyone, regardless of skill level or physical shape, can join a class at The Hot Room. You will SWEAT, STRETCH, and TRANFORM your body and mind in ways that you have never experienced before.
WHY WE LOVE THE HEAT?
Yoga helps to change the construction of the body from the inside out. The heat helps to warm the muscles and allows for more flexibility so that the change you want can happen more efficiently. Practicing yoga in the hot room also diminishes the chance for injury as a warm body is more supple and pliable. With the heat you can achieve a deeper stretch, so fresh oxygenated blood reaches deeper into your muscles, tendons and organs to keep your systems healthy. The heat helps to burn more calories and helps to build endurance. Toxins are released through the breath and skin by sweating. The end result is an unbelievable feeling of mental and physical well-being.
60/90 MINUTE CLASSES
We offer over 30 classes a week including traditional 90 minute classes and shorter 60 minute classes. Beginners are welcome to join us for any class on the schedule. Our traditional 90 minute classes feature 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises. We do 2 sets of each posture with stillness in between postures. Our 60 minute class is a shorter version with all the same postures, but done at a faster pace and fewer sets of some poses. A perfect class to meet the needs of our busy schedules!
