"My first visit was totally not what I expected. I thought that I was too overweight and out of shape for yoga. Boy, was I wrong! During my first class, once I stopped thinking about how hot it was, I was fine! To my surprise the instructor and the class congratulated me and other first timers for completing the class. This was very encouraging for me! I knew immediately that I wanted to come back. The feeling I had was indescribable. I felt light, free and completely rejuvenated! Starting this practice opened a reconnection with myself and just a overall sense of total awareness. I just recently completed my first 30 day challenge. It was difficult, but the staff and classmates were very supportive and like my own personal cheerleaders! I also lost 9 pounds within the 30 days. My advice to anyone new to this practice, don't worry about image issues or if you can't do the postures. Just come. This is the one place you are allowed to be you, so enjoy yourself and allow your mind to rest so your body can receive the benefits."
